This table was easy to assemble. This table is solid. It heavy. It was so affordable that I’m planning to purchase two more. My home houses all Amazon products, love this company. From art supplies to jewelry to clothes. Blankets on and onThis is a heavy duty, easy to put together table. Perfect! When I was looking at this table to buy, the comments on the assembling almost me not buy it. When I got the table, though, the direction were basic and uncomplicated, through deduction. The table has to be assembled from the top up.1. Place the top face down with the screw holes showing.2. There are 20 screws and two points of assembly require eight, the last piece takes four so decide which eight you will use to bolt the legs onto the table top. The black ones are probably better, but the gray ones will work, too. Look at the picture to see which direction the table legs should be turned.3. After you tighten the legs onto the base, using the Allen ranch, bolt the ring onto the inside of the legs. Don't panic if the ring doesn't sit snuggly and line-up perfectly. You'll need eight screws here, too. The first screw is the most difficult to start. I would put the second screw directly across from the first one to help with alignment. As you move from leg to leg, you're going to have use your upper body strength to sorta hug the legs and bring them together, while you wrestle the screw into holes. I found it easy to start the screws with my fingers, then use the Allen wrench in the upright, and lastly, flip the wrench and give it the final tightening with the bent end. I think it's better if you get the ring started with all of the screws, but leave loose, then go back around and put the final tightening.4. Finally, use the last four screws for installing the X part. Here, you're going the have to really hug the legs again to bring them together, after the first screw is started. I saw comments about how their table legs wouldn't align, and here's why, you have to put some muscle into. Get the screws started and do a final tightening, while you 'embrace' your new table. It's really not very difficult and if the screws are applied correctly, it's a pretty good little table. I'm using my table as a base for a piece of marble I inherited when I bought an old house.I love the size and rustic look of it! I'm a lady and I put it together myself. This table is a great value for the money. It’s sturdy and looks more expensive than it is. On the surface, it seems very easy to put together, however, I had many alignment issues until I did this:1) When affixing the legs during Step One, leave them VERY VERY LOOSE. Like so loose they wobble around and barely stay on. You need all this looseness for the next step to align.2) In Step Two, affix the ring loosely with just one screw to each leg. Then put the second screw in, again, keep it loose.3) Finish by loosely attaching th “X” shaped piece. NOW you can finally attach things more firmly, cautiously go back and tighten things up.I am sure you noticed the “loose” trend. I never tighten all the way, but in this case, you must barely attach things at first to enable alignment. But don’t worry, at then end all is nice and stable. Until I figured this out, I was going a bit crazy.I have included pictures with amazon’s recommended Ashley bar stools. They are not a perfect match, the wood and the metal is a slightly different finish, but it works well enough that unless you are really looking for the difference, it looks like a set.Overall, I am very happy with the look and quality of this set for the price. We used it for a wine bar area of our home, and wanted something that wouldn’t take up lots of space.Cheers! The product seems sturdy enough. The metal is brown in color, it looked more black/ bronze on line. This table and the matching stools where so super easy to assemble I didn’t even need the instructions! It’s strong and beautiful! If I had to find a negative I would say the wood could use a better finish. I just put another coat of polyurethane on it myself. Highly recommend!I put it together by myself pretty quickly, it's very simple. The directions claim there are two sizes of screws, that's outdated. All screws fit. Table is gorgeous. Adjustable feet for uneven floors.
